Serena Cizmecigil

Sales Manager

Serena is the Sales Manager at Infusion Edutainment and is developing partnerships with educational institutions and businesses around the globe. Serena has a Bachelor’s in Communication, a Diploma in Marketing Communication, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in Marketing. She has 17 years of experience in International Education and international student recruitment. She organized many international education fairs, seminars, workshops; and connected universities with local schools, students, agents, and academic counselors. She traveled to over 35 countries and executed large-scale educational projects with ministries, trade missions, and educational associations. Since 2003, she has been attending educational conferences like NAFSA, NAGAP, EAIE, BCCIE.

In 2020, she joined Infusion Edutainment to build partnerships and recruit students for IE Virtual Campus. She has proficiency in 4 languages and is passionate about opening new ways and opportunities for students all over the world to make education more accessible for everyone.

Abbie Urquia

Abbie Urquia


Abbie Urquia is the Coordinator at Infusion Edutainment. She oversees customer relations and internal communication between education, sales & marketing, and IT departments. She also helps the teaching department on developing the IE curriculum. Abbie has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria. During her studies and internships, she experienced working with students of diverse ages and backgrounds. Her professional experiences with students and VR users at Infusion Lounge and her educational background are strong assets for the company. 


Abbie is fluent in both English & Spanish and a huge animal lover.

Lynn Thompson

Lynn Thompson

Head of Teachers

Lynn Thompson is the head of teaching department at Infusion Edutainment. Lynn has been a TESOL certified English Instructor since 2012, with multiple years of experience teaching children, teens, and adults. Lynn lived and taught in Vietnam from January 2013 to June 2018.  During this time, she taught in English Centers, the teachers/staff at a Vocational College, as well as the employees at Heineken Brewery.


Additionally, Lynn spent 4 years helping open, manage, and teach at an English Café, where she custom designed sessions to meet participants of all ages and needs. These sessions included formal, casual, IELTS, and business language. Since returning to Canada in 2018, Lynn has been teaching English as a Second Language through online teaching platforms.

Glen McManus

Glen McManus

Project Manager

Glen is the project manager of the development team at Infusion Edutainment. He has a Bachelor’s in Writing, and is completing his Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Glen was the president of the University of Victoria’s Game Development club from 2019 to 2020. He loves game jams for the community they create and the creativity bred from their thematic and time constraints.

In 2020, he joined Infusion Edutainment as a 3d artist. He has since settled into designing and developing human computer interactions and software systems.

Dr. Ulf Schuetze


Dr. Ulf Schuetze is a Professor of Second Language Acquisition in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies at the University of Victoria. In addition, Ulf serves as the Associate Director of the Digital Second Language Learning Lab. 

His research in computer-assisted language learning, lexical processing, as well as the sustainability of technology in second language acquisition, applies theoretical frameworks to teaching. He has written numerous articles on effective language learning that have been published in international journals world-wide. His most recent publication, Language Learning and the Brain: Lexical Processing in Second Language Acquisition (Cambridge University Press, 2017), illustrates the dynamic environment when recording and producing language. 

Dr. Ulf is a part of Infusion, supervising Curriculum Development.
